Pierce is a selfless person in John’s opinion. I can definitely tell Meg Cabot is shooting for the unfeeling character who happens to be nice at the same time. The main problem I had with this book is the “detached” feel Pierce tries to give off. Sure, Abandon is definitely a solid read, but solid is just okay.
